Because our platform is designed to connect collectors with minimal personal data collection, we believe in radical transparency regarding the information we process.

This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit ReelSwap, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

1. Information We Collect About You

To operate the platform and facilitate trade matchmaking, we collect the absolute minimum amount of personal information required. We collect:

• Account Data: Your username, email address, and a securely hashed password.
• Profile Data: Third-party social media URLs or alternate contact methods you voluntarily provide to facilitate off-platform communication and trading.
• User Content: Photos of physical media items you upload to your collection.
• Technical Data: Essential session cookies required to keep you logged in, and standard server logs (such as IP addresses and browser types) which are routinely sanitized or hashed to protect user anonymity.

We do NOT collect: Financial information, credit card numbers, physical shipping addresses, or government-issued identification.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us to:

• Present our platform and its contents to you.
• Display your public profile and inventory to other users to facilitate peer-to-peer matchmaking.
• Process your uploaded images through our Texture Archiver tool to create platform features (such as 3D previews and search indexing).
• Send you administrative emails regarding your account, security alerts, or updates to our Terms of Service.
• Enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abusive or automated (bot) access to our API.

3. Disclosure of Your Information

We are not a data broker. We do not sell your personal information. We only disclose your information in the following ways:

• To Other Users: Your username, provided social links, and uploaded inventory photos are public to facilitate trades.
• To Service Providers: We may share necessary technical data with trusted third-party services (like our web hosting and server infrastructure providers) solely for the purpose of operating the platform.

4. The Texture Archiver & Derived Assets

When you upload photos to ReelSwap, our Texture Archiver tool processes these images to generate anonymized, derived technical assets (such as UV texture maps, thumbnails, and 3D models). Please note that these derived technical assets are scrubbed of personal identifiers and are the exclusive intellectual property of Generation Loss LLC. They are considered permanent archive assets and will not be deleted if you choose to delete your account or original photos.

5. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) grants you specific rights regarding your personal information:

• The Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
